Still Hospitalized-Join us in this Prayer!

Last Sunday, before heading to the emergency room to care for an exacerbation of symptoms related to a condition that I began to experience just over a year ago, I sent a quick email cancelling classes for the week.

The condition (which I am choosing to see as a phenomenon rather than an ongoing illness) is called Spontaneous Cerebral Spinal Leakage Syndrome. It is characterized by spontaneous holes or tears in the protective membrane that surround the brain and spinal column, thus allowing Cerebral Spinal Fluid to leak, leaving the brain unprotected by simple movements and infections.

It has no known cause and has been quite debilitating because of the pain, vision and hearing impairments and the inability to sit or stand.

Other than a few weeks this summer, I have been confined to bed and in almost constant pain for a full year now. It has been tough financially and professionally.  I’ve made choices to fill prescriptions over maintaining many websites that had been core to this community.

Fortunately, with an amazing husband, family, friends and this community, I have made the best of it, continuing to teach, work with healing and coaching clients and offering spiritual messages and meditations through Sunday Soul.

You are the reason I have been able to stay present to who I am, regardless of what has been occurring physically. You have kept me connected to my purpose and you have given me reason to stay connected to something greater and more important than the appearances of this experience.

I have so much to share…so much to give, and so many Divinely Orchestrated teachings, stories and revelations that I can hardly wait to share with you…however today I ask for you to join me in both a vision and a prayer.

Earlier this week I had a CT Myelogram that FINALLY pinpointed the location of the leak. Up until now it had not been discovered so the numerous procedures to seal the leaks never actually helped for more than a few days or hours.

There is a tear in the membrane (dura) along the right side of my spinal column from T7 to T11 and today I will undergo the second procedure this week to seal the leak.

My friend and long term Power of Our Way Community member,  Yvonne Woloszanskyj has encouraged me to invite everyone to visualize any and all tears and leaks in the sheath/dura surrounding my spinal cord and brain being sealed today as I undergo another procedure (hopefully today).

Please see and celebrate this healing occurring physically, vibrationally, energetically, emotionally and spiritually. Please see all Cerebral Spinal Fluid production and flow as fully balanced and healthy.

Archangel Raphael I request the MOST BENEVOLENT OUTCOME to Ani's procedure today so that she is completely healed at the physical, vibrational, energetic, emotional, spiritual and karmic levels in the most benevolent way. Thank you. I request the MOST BENEVOLENT OUTCOME of Divine assistance for the doctors performing the procedure on Ani so that there is a MOST BENEVOLENT OUTCOME for her. Thank you. And so it is.”

When Life Wishes to Alter You-Take the Big Leap

If you have ever experienced a major life altering event, in particular one that reminds you of your mortality, or the shear unpredictability of life and loss, you can likely relate to the questions—and priorities—often raised. It is humbling—jostling—to one’s “comfort,” and often inspires a major life review followed with a commitment to change. 

I recall thinking several times over this last year that if it was God’s will for me to live, that I promised I would not allow myself to NOT be changed by it. I wanted to take full advantage of what had been stirred up within me. I would not stay the same. In fact, I realized that if I came out on the other side unchanged or unaltered on multiple levels, that I would be wasting a huge opportunity.

When in pain (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual) or even facing death or a major  loss or life transition, many people re-commit to being a steward to something vitally important—and relevant—to their purpose, and its unique expression. For me, nine months confined to bed, completely dependent on others for what most people take for granted and a not so certain, painfully back and forth few months of recovery has only strengthened my resolve.

I had faced the possibility of leaving the planet with so much unshared and undone.  In that moment, as surprising as it may sound I was not afraid of dying. I was afraid of dying with something inside of me (or in some file on my computer). In the weeks following, I also became painfully aware of how much I have devalued my worth and in doing so, I have inadvertently reinforced lack in others and devalued God and the gifts given to me so generously; clearly for a purpose way beyond the smallness of my life.

I witness people just like me; good, decent, gifted people with a passion to serve, denying their gifts and shutting themselves down (and cutting themselves off from Source) every single day. I see the insidious way we can feel victimized by life, only to find that we have been the primary perpetrators of our own pain. I see brilliant ideas dismissed as impossible and breath- taking talents never being shared to the level that I am sure they were meant to be shared. Not only are these some of the most profound ways we cut ourselves off from our Source, they are ways we withhold love, energy and goodness from others.  

Now, I know I can be quite hard on myself.  After all, I am my favorite person to blame for just about everything, ever since I was a little girl. And, this is different. This is about taking a greater level of personal responsibility for every single thing in my life because it has all been created with either my direct involvement or my permission.

I just can’t mess around anymore with any dramas or distractions. I don’t want to waste any time…or energy on anything that is not truly mine to be or do.  I realize that this will impact my work in the world and what I am guided to make as a priority, such as completing several books and working with committed healing clients and soul based entrepreneurs.

It may sound like an illness induced mid-life crisis or something.  It is not.  It is a radical, re-alteration of consciousness that I sense is attempting to happen within the minds, hearts, spirits, and behaviors of humanity as a whole. What I experienced is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.  Most people are feeling a low level agitation that is often inaccurately sensed and connected to a tired old pattern, as opposed to it being associated with a new and often intense energy and consciousness that is attempting to elevate us in our totality.

When this happens we often unconsciously resist being altered by kicking up old patterns and issues. It is a brilliant way the ego interferes with healing, growth and breaking through the barriers of our own justified excuses for not changing or moving forward.  And, it is so hindering to the imagination of the Soul being received by the personality.

I have been humbled and endlessly inspired by several clients who are approaching their lives with incredible courage, willingness and devotion.  Over the weekend I received a few letters describing incredible healings (medically documented) and exciting progress on key projects in their businesses.

Most of us dislike the idea that maybe, just maybe, there is some hidden benefit to being in pain...

If asked, we would be hard pressed to see it, let alone admit it.

This is a universal phenomenon. And, exploring what is commonly referred to as "Secondary Gain" can reveal some very powerful keys to transcending an experience or pattern that seems limiting or debilitating.

This is often what underlies our resistance to making changes or trying something new. It is often unconscious (unknown) to us, which is why we can be shocked when we first become aware of it.

Instead, if we approach any desired change from a place of openness and a commitment to be honest and courageous in our exploration, we can actually be empowered to make a change and see and feel the difference immediately!

After all, healing (of all kinds) requires something that has been previously unconscious to become conscious.

Pain is exhausting when prolonged and can become ordinary in a short period of time. The one thing that got me through a very odd medical occurrence (a spontaneous cerebral spinal fluid leak in my head) and pain beyond anything I've ever experienced, was the tool of Hypnosis.  

Not only did I use hypnosis to reduce pain, I used it to put myself to sleep and to become more present to any underlying factors (such as secondary gain) that would provide a deeper understanding as to why I became ill in the first place.

There are times when even a small reduction in pain is enough to be able to do the other things that are in service to healing.

My last trip to the hospital was a good example, especially since I chose to stop all of the medications I had been on so I could better utilize my own brain power and work with the subtle energies that were being muted out.

Some of the greatest minds in medicine understand the power of the mind in healing of the body.  I remember in interviews with Dr. Norm Shealy (a medical doctor and one of the originators of Intuitive Medicine along with Carolyn Myss) this being strongly reinforced.

In fact, he said everyone should be using hypnosis on a daily basis, just to deal with all of the negative conditioning that imbeds itself in our subconscious every day!

The primary goals of the Brain Power Program beginning on TUESDAY are to train your brain (and unconscious mind) how to use hypnosis to release and reduce pain...and to also enter into restorative levels of consciousness and sleep.

It Takes Just One

Can you...will you give life to love today in thought, emotion and action and be a steward to the embodiment that is wishing to take place within you?

Love is the bridge to healing, creativity and prosperity. Intuitively you--we--know this is true, yet we still observe (and at times, succumb to) the pull towards much that is contrary (to love) in both thought and behavior.

Opening the pathways for love to guide you into a consciousness that is welcoming and inviting requires a letting go...an unfettering from that which is contrary and defeating to you leveraging the power that is inherent with you.

This allows for passion to fuel creativity from an inspired place; replacing unconscious patterns of belief and thought that use lack and desperation as motivation for the ego to take the lead.

The moment we make a decision from a place of fear or lack we plant a seed that we may not really want to be planting.

You cannot heal what you have come to hate and change what you have come to blame.
