Whoa-Huge Wake up Call!

Whoa...

Personally, I had a huge wake-up call this week. Thanks to a series of synchronistic experiences, I identified how I was using something and someone else as an excuse to not move forward with the very behaviors and commitments that would bring me incredible joy and fulfillment.

I had become "victim" to my own "story." The drama I created in my mind felt justified. The anger and dissapointment - understandable. But, in reality, I took a totally irrelavant (to my life purpose) situation and gave it so much power that it became a justifiable distraction from what is (and has always been) most important. 

I brought my new "self-discovery" and commitments to my mastermind partners yesterday. The Universe immediately lined up in response to my decision (which is different than desire) and within five minutes, I had two meetings that showed me... "When you align, the Universe responds in kind..."

Whoa...it was that immediate. And it's HUGE (I'll tell you all about it Sunday night during the first call at www.powerofmyway.com/shift2010.html ).

Are you heading into 2010 with the mindset that will bring greater peace and prosperity or are you struggling to stay positive?

Are You Tending to Your Garden?

Gardening in October? A different kind of gardening. Tending to the garden of your mind. Weeding out the thoughts that hold you captive in an undesired reality – or keep you from fully embracing the heart of what you know to be possibility.  Earlier this week, I even shared a *FR*E*E meditation that (surprisingly) only a very small portion of this community took advantage of.  It will truly help you tend to the garden of your mind so you can open to a deeper experience of your soul - and it's calling in the role of humanity.

DO YOU HAVE A CHALLENGE WITH WORTHINESS AND RECEIVING?

I believe it is our fear (some might say ego) and a fundamentally damaging sense of unworthiness  that gets in the way of us joyfully receiving the gifts that might actually feed our souls. Why? Because if you truly knew (and could fully access) the truth of your greatness and the innate capacity to initiate massive positive change in your life, a lot would need to be changed and questioned.

The “self-protective” stories that have given an illusion of safety and certainty, would melt away and you would, possibly for the first time, feel free of patterns that prevent you from manifesting a greater potential in your life.

We do not need to suffer in order to grow. A simple decision today can open you to an awareness that surrendering to “what is” ( from a higher perspective) will actually open you to what is asking “to be.”

TRANSCEND SUFFERING AND UNRESOLUTION

In truth, the only source of suffering is thought. We all hold within us a capacity to acknowledge the presence of discomfort and pain without suffering. The experience of suffering comes from a belief that we “should be” suffering. When we worry, or find ourselves to be angry, ultimately, these are conditioned responses, rather than a given state of mind that automatically happens as a result of an experience.

As we grow older, often in our 30’s and 40’s (we seem to experience a new growth spurt each decade), it is as if something within us wakes up to the reality that we can transcend past patterns in our lives. For some, it begins with longing, or Divine discontent. For others, it begins when faced with a life-altering transition, such as a medical crisis, or a loss of a loved one, a job, or anything else that we believed defined us in some way.

During these times, we weed out those things that get in the way of true beauty from displaying itself in the form of blessings in our lives. We weed out the beliefs formed from our upbringing - the mythologies that have created pain and illusion. We plant new seeds of potential and begin to nourish them with the thoughts and behaviors that cultivate new, desired growth.

EMBRACE THE CHANGES THAT WILL OPEN YOU TO THE CO-CREATION OF A NEW REALITY

Over the last year, we can agree there has been incredible change. With change comes resistance. We like familiarity, even when what is familiar in our lives is having an undesired impact.  We resist change even when the perceived change is wanted. The primal urge to survive exists not just within the make-up of human consciousness either. There are shadow aspects of our personalities and thoughts (based in fear) that struggle to survive when we enter into a period of growth, or as some might call it, conscious evolution.

Whenever we enter into a period of transformation, we are challenged to shift at the level of perception. To look at something with a set of fresh eyes, and allow for a higher awareness to enter into the relationship with our thoughts, is a universal aspect of all personal and spiritual growth. Yet, for a true paradigm shift to occur, the underlying beliefs (and the structures they create in the outpicturing of our lives), must be changed.

The challenge with most change processes is that they often focus on the conscious and behavioral levels. Over time, this can shift the beliefs housed within the subconscious mind, however, the internal battle for survival (even your beliefs will hold on for dear life) can create a duality of thought (doubt, or inconsistency in what you think you believe).

Faith might be tested. Maybe you are getting blasted with negativity and fear in the news and in conversations. New books poo pooing positive thought may cause you to take a pause and question yourself. An unfortunate tragedy involving a teacher or a spiritual practice may spearhead a campaign of fear and drama that causes you to question your past decisions, and make you suspicious of future ones. You may experience a series of “spiritual tests” that leave you feeling doubtful or cause you to ask, “Did I attract this into my life?”

RELEASE DOUBT, FEAR, AND BELIEFS OF LACK
