A few weeks ago I taught a class called "Unfettering Your Desires, Unleashing Your Dreams." At the end of this insightful sharing on how to clean house and power-up for the Law of Attraction to work as you want it to work, I shared several quotes from ancient Hindu, Buddhist and Christian teachings.
As a student of Universal Laws and ageless wisdom, I believe that the more a particular teaching or principle shows up across cultures and religions, the more validity it has...the definition of a Principle; a Universal Truth that exists without one's need for awareness or agreement, is that it is timeless and never-ending.
When we align with the knowledge of Universal Principles we align with Truth and the reality of Truth is self evident and empowers us to act on Truth and enjoy the power of divine knowledge...
Each of these quotes uncovers a layer of wisdom when it comes to living the essence of the Law of Attraction. Simply put, the biggest Secret is that the Secret that has been around since the beginning of time.
The Bhagavad Gita, the teachings of Buddha and the Bible, all give us references regarding the impact of being of service to others, prayer and gratitude, being aware of our language (what we think and say), forgiveness of past resentments, focus and vision, and standing in faith, --as opposed to living or praying in an energy of doubt or fear.
All of these reminders show us how to UNFETTER...
Here are just a few to ponder...the most ancient teachings coming from Hinduism, then we see the evolution of Buddhist teachings, Judaism, Christianity and then the Muslim teachings; each building on and expanding from prior wisdom teachings, and each speaking to us in the language we can understand and/or resonate with...
Early Hindu quotes remind us of the importance of service - “Help thy brother's boat across, and Lo! Thine own has reached the shore” and “He does not live in vain; who employs his wealth, his thought, and his speech to advance the good of others.”
In Philippians IV:4-11;Verse 6 reminds of prayer and gratitude: "Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made known unto God."
This Buddhist teaching gives keys to finding our greatness...
The greatest achievement is selflessness.
The greatest worth is self-mastery.
The greatest quality is seeking to serve others.
The greatest precept is continual awareness.
The greatest medicine is the emptiness of everything.
The greatest action is not conforming with the worlds ways.
The greatest magic is transmuting the passions.
The greatest generosity is non-attachment.
The greatest goodness is a peaceful mind.
The greatest patience is humility.
The greatest effort is not concerned with results.
The greatest meditation is a mind that lets go.
The greatest wisdom is seeing through appearances.

In other words, be your greatness…this is the Secret to JOY and fulfillment...
The first verse of the Dhammapada (quotations from the Buddha) states:
"All things are preceded by the mind, led by the mind, created by the mind," a quote that sums of the power we have to CREATE anything...
His Holiness the Dalai Lama reminds us that "Delusions are states of mind which, when they arise within our mental continuum, leave us disturbed, confused and unhappy. Therefore, those states of mind which delude or afflict us are called 'delusions' or 'afflictive emotions'."
We know that the emotional energy we bring to our practice has a great influence and early Christian teachings such as this verse in Proverbs 4:20, provide wisdom about our language and focus on vision (the desire)...
24 Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
25 Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you.
Mark 11:22 reminds us, "Have faith in God," Jesus answered.
23"I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
25And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."
In Luke 17 we are reminded about keeping the faith and not succumbing to fear...
5The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!"
6He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you.
And in Mathew, "Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! It will be done just as you believed it would." And his servant was healed at that very hour."
For critics of The Secret who say that the Law of Attraction is dangerous, irresponsible, or a lie, my request is to find the teachings in the forms that resonate with your faith-in the language that speaks to your soul.
And...release the need to educate or control others through fear...
As a human race it is time to release fear and judgment. It is time to find ways to honor one another's faith without seeing it as a threat to our own.
It is time to find within ourselves the dreams that will be of service to others while bringing an abundant harvest to ourselves and our families.
It is time to focus on gratitude and compassion and begin treating one another with the reverence we so deserve.
All of these teaching serve as a reminder to our power – the power we have to co-create and attract everything and anything, so have fun and prosper!
