My Secret Letter to Oprah!

I recently began to write a letter to the producers of the Oprah show about my experiences with “The Secret.” Unfortunately, I could not contain it to the limited 2000 character submission requirement so instead, I share it with you today in an effort to illustrate the power of attraction, manifestation and co-creation, all of which are set as a foundation in this movie that has taken the world by storm.

This glorious phenomenon has grown so much that Larry King, Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah were all called to share “the Secret” with their massive followings, assisting in the exponential impact on the collective consciousness as it pertains to our power to co-create our realities through conscious thought and emotion.

My experience with the movie “the Secret” and the Law of Attraction actually began long before it was officially released and ultimately entered into the living rooms and minds of the mainstream culture.

My most profound examples include manifesting a radical healing after being given prognosis of a slow and painful death, a surprise $50,000 child support check and most recently, the building of bridges of peace between people in Israel, Lebanon and Palestine during the last major conflict in July of 2006. Each are briefly explained in this letter, yet alone, none truly expresses the level of manifestation I have grown accustomed to.

It would take a book to illustrate the true scope and power of the principles of attraction and co-creation applied in my life and business!

I had been fortunate to be raised by parents who brought a rich spiritual and philosophical heritage influenced by my father’s Indian/Hindu upbringing and his parent’s work in Gandhi’s peace movement (talk about collective intention!) and my mother’s upbringing in Unity; a Christian based, “New Thought” Church that teaches metaphysics and whose main focus, if one could summarize it into one phrase, is “your thoughts are prayers.”

Beginning at the age of 12, I have been assisting various populations to raise their consciousness; consciousness about themselves, their capabilities and potential, God, the Universe, and others. I traveled in many circles that were profoundly impacted by one simple dichotomous belief that leads to people either perceiving and living from the eyes of a victimization, lack, negative expectancy and impossibility and fear based thinking, or perceiving and living from the eyes of empowerment, abundance, faith, positive expectancy, free will, choice and personal accountability.

In simple terms, people either see themselves as a major (if not the major) co-creative force in the construction and manifestation of their lives or they don’t. Over the last 27 years of working in the arena of human potential, not all were receptive, many seeing positive thinking and co-creation/manifestation as fluffy, woo woo, or a less than effective way to manifest one’s true desires.

In spite of the nay sayers, I was able to heal myself through spiritual practice and applied principles of co-creation, attraction and manifestation. After being given a slow and painful death sentence by my physician, I simply decided I didn't agree with his vision for my life and I created and manifested a different one; one that resulted in my own radical healing and eventually the writing of my book, The Power of Our Way, A Path to a Collective Consciousness (with a foreword written by “Secret” star, Dr. Joe Vitale) and music, like www.thepowerofmywaymovie.com  with my husband, Brent Law.

Fast foreword to April of 2005 when Joe Vitale’s publicist reached out to ask whether I would endorse his soon to be released book, “The Attractor Factor” and share it with our international subscribers, all of whom are focused on raising consciousness on the individual and then collective level.

Before I agreed, I asked to read and advanced copy. They over-nighted the book and I immediately applied the steps Joe outlined so that I would truly experience the impact of the steps he outlined and decide whether to endorse his book and share it with our 10,000 members around the world.

What happened next was a miracle. I set an intention of manifesting $50,000, largely influenced by the fact that immediately after my husband and I made a joint decision to release our book and music to the world, he was laid off.

Although we were planning to create “his turn” when it came to living his true purpose as a musician, Divine Timing was a lot faster than we envisioned and we were financially unprepared for the sudden “loss” of $75,00 in annual income and a company car (with five kids this was a blow).

Yet, within 60 days of beginning “the Attractor Factor” and applying the steps, I received an odd phone call; one that lead to a record breaking child support collection check for $50,000. Yes, you read this correctly, in less than 60 days we manifested the exact amount I set out to attract!

For years, my husband and I have manifested of all sorts of things, from radical healings, raspberry bushes, a fridge, a house, money, and a whole library of bizarre and true manifestation stories (including manifesting him nine years ago, only 10 minutes after I decided I wanted to manifest a soul partner).

Interestingly enough, prior to this latest miracle and the release of “The Attractor Factor” and “The Secret,  I had invited both John Assaraf (also featured in “The Secret”) and Joe Vitale to be guests on our Conscious Dialogues,  and www.metaphysicalmasterminds.com, free dialogues I share live and in audio to our global subscribers.

When "The Secret" movie came out, given my prior connection to several of the featured “teachers,” I watched the film. It was something that finally outlined, in simple yet brilliant terms, the basics of attraction and co-creation that we had been living for years. It quickly became a favorite within our family and our global community of truth seekers here at Power of Our Way.

It supported, in attention grabbing and inspirational terms, a great deal of what we were doing in the areas of consciousness, spiritual awakening and influencing the collective consciousness and healing on the planet.

While critics may complain that it is still “too out there” or worse yet, complete bull hockey, the fact of the matter is that paired with belief work and aligning positive beliefs, thoughts, emotions and actions, The Secret does work.

Even the disbelievers, critics, and toxic negativity spreaders or nay sayers are experiencing the effects of the principles of Attraction and Co-Creation, just as they experience the effects of the law of gravity or many of the Universal laws that operate and influence our existence, regardless of our awareness, acceptance or agreement.

Then in July, when the bombing began between Hezbollah and Israel, we launched The Power of Our Way Peace Experience and began giving my book away for free to everyone who joined in our collective process to co-create peace, first within ourselves, then positively influencing and transforming the collective.

One of my clients, an Awakening to Purpose student named Sharbel El Haber, lived in Beirut. In spite of the bombing, destruction, limited supplies and he and his family ultimately fleeing to the mountains for safe harbor, he traveled back to Beirut every day to participate in the emails and calls included in the Power of Or Way Peace Experience.

Not only did he feel safe, always feeling the support of our powerful group energy and intention, he stayed safe and ultimately, in less than a few weeks, together, we had connected people in Haifa, Israel, Beirut, Lebanon, and Palestine and published and shared their “Peace Experience” letters to me, side by side.

Several were written as they were being bombed, missiles hissing in the background and yet, we joined in a collective intention of peace and spiritual healing and our subscriber in the Middle East grew every day. “The Secret” was working in profound ways and may people experienced personal miracles as we joined from that place of Divine Knowledge.

During the first 31 days, Sharbel also wrote a series of over 36 poems, each corresponding to the 36 main principles found within the 31 day process and he has since shared them with our members, tithed several tuitions so others could go through the programs that we offer, and he ordered 30 sets of my books and Cd's as holiday presents to various people around the world, all of whom he has met in the last year.

“The Secret” fast became the recommended resource for new manifestors, people who were expanding their understanding of energy, power and intention, as well as people who were new to the concept that they created their reality – no one or nothing else- period.

I have used “The Secret” to introduce the concept of attraction and manifestation (I believe in co-creation as a more accurate term) and I have been honored to watch people’s consciousness shift radically, “The Secret” opening them to a higher truth and being one of the best tools for shifting one’s consciousness in a moment. It is this active, conscious shifting that puts them into the mindset for conscious co-creation to occur and be made manifest.

After all, what we are thinking and feeling is a pretty good indication of what we are in the process of creating in our lives and “The Secret” is something I frequently recommend to illicit a conscious shift when one needs to do so.

Personal accountability for initiating a shift in one’s consciousness and behavior and acknowledging that we create everything is not always an easy transition for folks to make. There is a subtle yet profound difference between taking responsibility and blaming ourselves for our creations. The former leads to guilt, shame, and other forms of self punishment, none of which set the foundation for attraction or co-creation to occur in the way we want it to occur (or think we want it to occur).

Taking responsibility is accepting our part in what we have created or are in the process of creating; examining and changing our beliefs, thoughts and emotions, and taking responsibility for co-creating healing and expansion in all areas of our minds, bodies, souls, relationships and lives.

Although it does not get deeply into the belief level; the core beliefs that unconsciously influence habits of thought, emotion and action (which is where we can have the most long term impact), “The Secret” does brilliantly illustrate the vast and diverse impact of constructive, generative, thought and emotion and destructive and degenerative thought and emotion.

We always get what we think and pray for, even though we may not recognize it.

To bring people into a conscious awareness of this simple truth is a gift that ultimately can shift the consciousness of the collective. At some point, the 100th monkey will be transformed and humankind will realize, together at the tipping point, that we can co-create anything that we desire, as long as we are aligned in belief, thought, emotion and action. Add faith, positive spiritual and mental nourishment and positive expectancy and anyone can co-create anything.

I personally have tons of evidence from my own application of the concepts shared in “The Secret,” and many stories from other community members. We are still running the Peace Experience and each month we facilitate a more intensive, weekly group call-in program that is filled with miracles produced from shifting ones thoughts – conscious co-creation – and “The Secret” is one of the power tools used in the work we do.

I am now getting ready to interview Mike Dooley, the “Thoughts Become Things” guy in “The Secret” and people are listening to the dialogues I had with John Assaraf and Joe Vitale every day, reinforcing many of the concepts that were then later shared in “The Secret.”

Applied to collective intentions, “The Secret,” if believed and mastered, offers the potential to completely shift the consciousness on the planet. Individual transformation precedes global transformation and “The Secret” is a good place to start building a personal foundation for large scale change and a global transformation in consciousness.

So Oprah, thanks for inviting the submissions! Although I can’t possibly share the depth of the impact on myself or others in less than 2000 characters, you set a ripple in motion that will serve thousands of people in our community! If that isn’t proof enough that the Secret works, I don’t know what could!

The secret of life is to love and just be the divine creator that we already are.

I had the privilege of watching the Secret movie just 6 days ago. Synchronistically, I watched it on the DVD player that I just got as a holiday gift.

As I watched and listened to the inspiring messages, I knew it in my heart that all is absolutely true. The Secret has been working in my life so miraculously the past year to the extent that I started manifesting my heart’s desires even without asking.

The more I understood the law of attraction, the more I knew that it is another synonym for the law of love. It is all about the vibrations we are emitting to the Universe.

It is our perceptions that determine how we see our reality. What we see as true is always what we choose to be.

You cannot imagine what happens once you decide to open up your heart and let love lead your life. Indeed we create our reality with our thoughts, feelings and actions. It is our past hypnotism that prevents us from stepping into our manifesting power and keeps us living in the habitual patterns of fear, worry, lack and struggle.

Life is now. All what we want is right here, right now. Don’t believe anybody, just go within and you will find all what you want inside.

I was abundantly blessed the past year. I had my challenges too including the passing away of my mother, the war in July 2006 and the difficult living conditions in my country. For me it was a blessed opportunity to grow, to expand and to start living my authenticity.

I will be forever grateful for our Peace Community and, particularly, Anita for transforming my life and bringing the best in me. I do feel the power in the Power of our Way. It is beyond bliss when we awaken to our divinity and start co-creating our new reality.

I know in my heart that we are constantly evolving in Truth for growth is an inherent process of life. We are always on a never ending journey. It is as easy to create pain as to live a conscious, harmonious and fulfilling life. You will be given all you need when you decide to choose the latter.

There is only love for you. You are as God created you, an eternal light glowing brighter and brighter every day.
